It is important to remember that children grow at individual rates and cannot be hurried in this process. The best incentive for progress is for children to feel successful at each developmental stage. We encourage all students to achieve their personal best. Also it remains our goal to educate the whole child and help him/her develop confidently in their unique way.
TRMS offers Pre-school to Grade 3 comprehensive Montessori programs including optional extended care programs for our students.
In addition to the comprehensive Montessori curriculum we teach the supplementary subjects of Music, French and Spanish.
Progress Reports:
TRMS will notify parents of the student’s progress. This is achieved through scheduled meetings between the parents and teacher. However, parents are encouraged to raise questions and concerns, at any time, either with the teacher or the School Director. If you have a particular concern or question regarding your child, please make an appointment with the office to see his/her teacher. We discourage “classroom door” interviews as they are often unproductive and disruptive. Also it is important that such discussions are not held in the presence of your child.
Your child’s progress is monitored daily by their teacher. Oral reports are given four times a year and written progress reports are issued twice a year. A parent’s orientation session is organized annually in mid-September and all parents are required to attend.
Lunches and Snacks - Healthy Body Healthy Mind school policy :
There is a definite correlation between a healthy diet and a healthy mind. At TRMS we want each child to be provided with the best opportunities for healthy development in order to facilitate learning. Make sure that your child’s lunch meets the Canada food guide standards. TRMS offers an optional hot lunch catered meal program. All Casa pre-school students are obligated to participate in the Day Nurseries Act catered meal program
Food Allergies - TRMS is a NUT-FREE Environment
In our on-going effort to provide a safe environment for all of our students the school is a banned zone for all nuts & sesame seeds. We request that no student bring products containing these foods into the school in consideration of certain students that are severely allergic to these products
