ARRIVAL and DISMISSAL
At the commencement of either the morning or afternoon programs the student(s) must be accompanied to the front entrance of the school by their parents and placed in the custody of a supervising teacher.
Every student will be encouraged to hang up their coat and change their shoes/boots independently and prepare for class. Regular and punctual attendance is important. Please notify the school of absenteeism by 9:15 A.M. on the day of occurrence or via email or pre-planned absence.
The students will be dismissed by their classroom teacher. No student will be released from the school until they are picked up by an authorized adult. If an alternate person is to pick up a student, the school needs to know this in advance and the student will not be released until the identification of the alternate is verified. If you wish to have the student picked up earlier, the school should be notified in advance by calling the office or providing a note to the teacher.

Outdoor recess is an integral part of the Montessori program, and each class has a scheduled outdoor playtime :
Preschool (Casa 2)
Forty minutes twice a day (morning & afternoon), and forty minutes in the aftercare program for a total of 2 hours per day.
Junior / Senior Kindergarten (Casa 1 & 3)
Half an hour twice a day (morning & afternoon), and forty minutes in the aftercare program for a total of 1.40 hours per day.
Elementary
Forty-five minutes once a day and forty minutes in the aftercare program for a total of 1.25 hours per day.
All students are expected to participate in outdoor recess daily and must be dressed weather appropriately for all seasons.
